During a night photography meet-up in Harajuku, our assignment was to take portraits of strangers - but when we reached this mall entrance covered with mirrors, we couldn't help but pause for a group selfie.

  1. A group selfie? Luxury! I didn’t know such a concept existed but clearly it should.

  2. I’m confused about the term ‘group selfie’… if a selfie is a portrait of yourself by yourself, shouldn’t a group picture by the group be a ‘groupie’? Or if you take a picture of the group by yourself, it could also be a self groupie..

  3. as a good Dutch I think it’s perfectly acceptable to have one word for two completely different things.. Although I can see possible problems occur if you read or hear out of context, ‘let’s take a groupie’.
